Hamburg's Lounge Records brings you the debut from RIVERA ROTATION's 'Sunrise & Rainbow? long player in mid June. The first album by Rivera Rotation arrives right on time! Mastermind Pete Rivera released a diverse catalogue of 12' singles during the last four years 'sLatinica Witch', 'On The Beach', 'Yes You Are '? und 'Dedicado'). There were included in about 100 compilations worldwide or in other words: more than 1 million CDs. Rivera Rotation travelled to Vienna, Istanbul or Thessaloniki to play his DJ sets. In his hometown Hamburg he ran the Lounge club, long before the concept of 'Lounge' turned into a coffee table phenomenon. His mix CD series 'For Adults Only' (available in 2 volumes) featured - very unusual for the formatted dance scene: House and Latin with a feeling for emotion and understatement. Vincenzo, Fauna Flash or Q-Burns Abstract Message delivered remixes for Rivera Rotation, the man himself was asked by Mo? Horizons or Seductive Souls to supply remixes for their tracks. At the end of the day, Rivera Rotation played more than 1000 DJ-shows during the last 10 years. For 'Sunrise & Rainbow? Rivera Rotation worked with a collective of producers and musicians. Soul-O-Matic are looking back on production work for Keith Sweat, Chaka Khan or Roger Troutman. Gee Morris: she had seven entries in the UK Top 40 as the vocalist with Innocence during the early Nineties: contributed 'On My Mind', 'Clouds Around Your Heart ' and the Barbara Mason classic 'Another Man'. Claas Überschär (Ensemble Du Verre/Audiopharm) played the trumpet on 'Moment A Paris', Jürgen Attig: a seminal bass player in the German studio and live scene working in all genres from jazz to rock: delivered an unmissable bassline for 'On The Beach'. English No.1 Performance Poet Lemn Sissay contributed the idea and inspiration for 'Sunset & Rainbow...'
